BOOK 0029 - Aboriginal Dot Art Blank Book with Beaded Tassel Wood Carved Crocodile
Hand stitched journal sewn on cords with cris-cross detail on the open spine. This journal cover is decorated with an Aboriginal style wood carving that is painted with dot art and attached to the hand painted
dot art front cover. Eight extra long strings of beads fall from the macrame tassel which is knotted with natural jute string and strung with hand made/hand painted beads and pony beads. The beads mirror the colors of the dot art and have been used for added decoration.
The method of binding that I use is very strong and sturdy, and also allows the book to open flat for writing, pasting or sketching similar to that of coptic binding.
COUNTING PAGES:
When I list the number of pages in a book, I am referring to one side of each leaf. For example, in a book with numbered pages, Page 17 would be on one side of the leaf or piece of paper, Page 18 on the other side. Therefore, a book with 192 pages would have 96 leaves.
TECHNICAL DETAILS
This book has 192 pages.
